Marriage registration and name change

I would like to register my marriage and also apply for name change (first name as well). Please advise. This will be a regular hindu marriage.

In case you want to register your marriage:- For Marriage Registration under Hindu Act: You can apply at office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in whose jurisdiction the husband or wife resides on any working day. If you are a resident of delhi, that can be done by applying to the Delhi government adjudicated by the Sub registrar of marriages. There are certain documents we will be requiring for your registration such as marriage proofs. The first name can also be changed through a small process at the registry only.

I have perused the contents of your query and would advise you seek a detailed consultancy from a lawyer having expertise. The marriage registration can be done by filing certain requisite documents alongwith the prescribed application to be moved jointly. Further for name change their is a set procedure which needs to be followed.
