I could not attend hearing of case I filed against a person for attack

Sir/mam I had filed a case against a person for attacking me,two hearing has already taken but could not attend any of them today a notice has come what do I need to do?
You may appear before the either in person or through your advocate. File an application regarding not receiving the notice. The court will consider all the aspects. You all granted adequate opportunities to defend your case.
