I am unable to return money I borrowed from a friend

I have taken 2 lakh rupees loan from my freind 3 months before after one month he asked me his money back but i was in trouble i dont have business and job, then asked me to sign agreement papers, two checks and asked to return the money in 2 months now he is threatening me if i dont return he will file case against me just a week before i got a job as a graphic designer and salary about 15000 rupees please help i want to return his money but now i cant. what should I do?
