How to proceed if served with legal notice on breach of agreement

I have entered into an agreement with a coaching institute and they have breached the agreement and hence i am not happy working with them. So i said so to them. Now since they need me and i am not wanting to go to them they have sent a legal notice that i have breached the agreement. Now kindly advice me on how to proceed.

In order to answer your queries, firstly we need to examine that on what terms you were engaged by the coaching institute?, under what conditions the contract may be terminated?, is there any prior notice requirement under the agreement? and in which manner you have conveyed to the coaching institute that you do want to be associated with them?
In the absence of any specific condition on termination, you cannot be compelled to work with the coaching institute. However, if there are conditions specified under the contract for termination, the issue will be decided as per the conditions.
Further, it is advisable that you send the reply to the legal notice.
