How to get car registered from different state to permanent residence

I am a permanent resident of kolkata. My adhar adress belongs to kolkata. Presently i am residing in Panchkula as a tenant holding rent agreement. I wish to purchase a used car in Panchkula, but finding it difficult to get my permanent changed.Suggest the legal option and how can the car be registered in Panchkula if i purchase it?

Hi We have to surrender the number which is already fixed on the vehicle and then apply the fresh one in the state you need to transfer as per Transport Law and have to even pay taxes applicable in the state and if the vehicle is impounded for not doing the same done then a massive fine have to be deposited.

You are required to get No Objection Certificate(NOC) from Kolkata Regional Transport Office (RTO). NOC shall be submitted to the buyer in Punchkula, which he is required to submit before the RTO, Punchkula for transfer of said vehicle. Secondly, you can buy the used Car in Punchkula on the basis of residential lease/rental agreement (of Punchkula) and one more proof of residence i.e. post paid mobile bill, gas connection, bank passbook etc.
