Dear Client, In the given scenario, again visit the ASK with supporting documents and explain them that despite removal of C/O in the system, it still shows in your Aadhar Card. In case ASK didn't cooperate, you can escalate your grievance online login to UIDAI portal to navigate the issue. It may please be noted that children are always in C/O of their parents either alive or deceased and it doesn't affect your identity anyway. C/O is preferred word in place of Late before the deceased parent. However it depends upon the individuals own choice or preference.

The issue appears to be related to the C/O (Care of) field in your Aadhaar address details. Since the C/O field is optional, you may request UIDAI to remove your late father's name from the C/O field. As you have already visited the Aadhaar Seva Kendra and were informed that the C/O section has been removed, but the same is still appearing on your printed Aadhaar, MyAadhaar application and website, you should first verify the update status using the acknowledgement/SRN received at the time of update. If the update has been successfully processed but the old details are still being displayed, you may lodge a grievance with UIDAI and request correction/synchronisation of the Aadhaar records. If the grievance is not resolved, further appropriate legal remedies may be considered on the basis of the documents and response received from UIDAI. You should preserve the Aadhaar copy, update acknowledgement, screenshots of the online record and any grievance/reference number for further action.
