My name is Kirankumar S Talavagal in all my marks cards till my Post graduation but my actual name is Kiran Y S, so how can i change my name to get passport and if i wanna migrate to other countries from india
You have to file a suit for declaration before district court for change of name n appropriate grounds and reasons for change of your name. After passing the judgement n decree in your favour , the certified copy of the same should be furnished in the universities from which ypu have graduated. In case of passport an affidavit along with certified copy of the judgement n decree should be furnished in the passport office.

You have to file an affidavit before a notary. After that you have to take out a paper publication in two newspapers. The procedure is fairly simple. The stamp paper charges is Rs.20/- Notary and paper publication would be extra. In fact most notaries would be able to help.

You have to get court order by filing declaration suit before c ompetent civil court by taking necessary steps then only u could use ur change of name as it documents issurd by university and government so it has to be declared by court order and they will change it.
