How to change lawyer in an ongoing case

My son-in law has sent us a pre-legal notice to my daughter. some 25 days back. I had engaged a lawyer to reply to a pre-legal notice. But the lawyer keeps on postponing the date of reply and has already taken 2 extensions. Can we change the lawyer now.
