How to access Karnataka Bar Council for filing complaint

I would like to complaint to Karnataka Bar Council against a lawyer in Bangalore who cheated me Rs 22000. I have proofs - bank transfer, emails exchange, phone call records. Please tell me how to access the bar council in Bangalore? (email id, phone no, address etc) What is the power of bar council over advocates in such cases?

When the patient go to a doctor or hospital, if they raise bills, the patient will pay without raising an issue. A good experienced/some seniors lawyers 5 minutes suggestion may be worth more than lakhs. Some lawyers even charge 1 lakh rs. for 1hr consultation in Bangalore. If you really feel that this advocate has done even a single Job even after receiving the amount you can visit the kgid building Bangalore and file a complaint against him.

u can file complaint against advocate which is situated old KGID building near High Court, opp to Vidhana Soudha. u can contact directly to Bar Council off. they will guide you. suppose your case is proved advocate will punished like not to appear before court for certain period etc.....

You may have to approach the Chairman of Karnataka Bar Council and file a complaint against the lawyer who cheated you Rs.22000/- with all the proofs of bank transfer, emails exchange and phone call records, After detailed examination of your complaint and documents. he will call over his mobile phone or may issue notice to the lawyer who alleged to be cheated and get his explanation against the notice and both complaint as well the explanation of the lawyer, if found lawyer is guilty, the chairman will warn the lawyer and at the last stage he got powers to suspend the lawyer from attending the courts.
