How can I check the authenticity of summons issued by a court? Please provide details on how to chec

25-Jul-2024 (In Civil Law)
I received a summons and a petition filed by my wife from the court, stating I need to attend a non-mutual divorce case filed by her. However, the petition is not signed by either the petitioner or her advocate. The summons has a seal, signature, and MC number, but I doubt its authenticity. How can I verify if the case is registered in the court? Please also tell me how to check court summons online, how to check summons online, and how to check a summon online

Dear Sir, Mutual divorce petitions cannot be filed without your consent and usually no summons will be issued on such mutual divorce cases. The advocates respectively must keep present their respective clients before the courts voluntarily.

That is all right , usually the copies sent to you will not be signed yet they are proper copies only. You need to appear either on person or through an advocate in that Court hall on the day mentioned in that covering letter when that case number is called out. It will be authentic, no doubt.

Respected Please go to Family Court and search in the computer there and also make inquiry at office of the court. When there is seal and sign and MC number on the summon that itself mean that the case was registered. She had filed contested divorce case. Please attend on the date mention in the Summon.

Hi based on the case number you can check in the online portal of the district court from where you have received the summons. However it is advised to attend the court on the designated date and seek the facts in reality. You will be given ample time to revert back along with an advocate on the case if at has been filed by your wife.

The summons issued by the Hon'ble court will not carry signature of neither petitioner nor her advocate. It is issued by the Sheristedar on behalf of the court. You can check the authenticity of the case on the website by seeing status of the case. Check on ecourts.com
