16-Oct-2023 (In Civil Law)
I have son of 2 years old and my father is not in good terms with me. He is threatening to sell a property without my consent. It's not ansisteral property. Can he sell without my signature as he has grand child (my son).

as per your written conversation if its not ancestral property and that property purchase by him so he has full right to sell the property and no need take any permission or any information from any one as that property purchased by him.

He cannot sell the property if the property is purchased in a HUF i.e., Hindu Undivided family with their funds on approval of the karta and knowledge of coparceners and yourself and your son will be eligible for the share in the property.

yes he can sell the property without your consent as it is his own acquired property, thus your signature also not required. as long as your father is alive, your son also have no right to claim the property. hence you and your son has no right in any manner concerned to your father own acquired property.
