FIR and Passport Renewal problem

Hi, Someone filed an FIR against me 2yrs ago. The person is in Police. Police never investigated and no trial/court case begin. We were told that the person wants money to settle the FIR. However, we cannot afford the money so the FIR is there. Recently, I applied for a passport renewal (unaware that FIR needs to be mentioned). I got an objection from the passport office. Office says that I could be barred for passport renewal forever for not mentioning the FIR. Pls give me a legal solution:(

Non-mentioning of the FIR in the passport application does not automatically result in a permanent ban on passport renewal. You may submit a written explanation to the Passport Office stating that the non-disclosure was unintentional and provide the FIR details. If the FIR is still under investigation and no trial has started, you can approach the concerned Magistrate Court and seek permission for renewal/issuance of your passport. Courts generally grant such permission subject to conditions. If the FIR is false or there has been no progress for a long time, you may also approach the High Court for quashing of the FIR.

Appear before the Honble Court in which trial is pending and face the trial with proper documents and evidence. Your Passport cannot be renewed until the FIR is not sought out or you did not get Clean shit from the court.
