Does neighbor have the right to demolish any part of our house

Our house has a fencing outside our boundary wall for 18 years now and till now we didn't face any problem.But now our neighbour fights and argues with us that the fencing should be demolished and threatens us that hewill demolish it any time. What legal remedy do we have or which right do we possess to save our fencing???How do we get rid of our neighbour's warnings P.S:Our fencing is in line with the houses in the lane.

Is the fencing legally first and in accordance with the other neighbours see that first. As you are saying fencing outside of boundary wall then it will become an issue that should come with in the boundaries what ever the time period it will be when boundaries are occupies space in others land as per documents we have to check, if you find everything is fine as per documents then you can face him by legally.
