Difference between the self acquired property and gifted property?

16-Oct-2023 (In Civil Law)
In matters of daughters' right in father's self acquired property... I want to know as to how self acquired property of a father would be different from the property gifted by a earning wife? Because here in this case the father died 27 years back and the mother who gifted the property doesn't want to give a part of the share to her daughter. She wants the same to be divided between her two sons...please opine...

After death of father, property in his name will be distributed in equal proportion between all legal heirs. It is not permissible under law that a wife who gifted the property to her husband can make a condition or estoppel that one of the legal heir can't get share in the gifted property after death of her husband.
