Change of fathers name in birth certificate

Actually one of my friend was out of station during his wifes baby delivery.On their request I have done all hospital formalities with my document.I fill up all form by my name .Now baby's birth certificate showing my name as father.Now my friend,his wife and me we all want to change the name of father in certificate .But Hospital asking for court order.What to do now.plesse guide
correct, it has to be done by way of an affidavit over a stamp paper of rupees ten and get it signed and stamped and provide a xerox copy to whomsoever you then want for changing the same, its a simple process and one day job
