Can society prohibit People from entering public parks

14-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
I am associated with an NGO and we teach underprivileged students in the evening in public parks across various sector in Gurgaon. Lately many residents have complaint that teaching in "their society's park" is illegal as it hampers and destroys their parks which is a flat lie. None of our action has ever caused any damaged to the park, we simply are trying to educate slums kid so that they can have a bright future ahead and contribute to our socity in return. So, my question is, is there any provision in law which prohibits us from teaching in public parks and if yes or otherwise what step should we take to tackle this situation.

No prohibition per se by law. In this particular instance though you would need to take permission from the local municipal body. They shall then provide you a specific time and assign an area where you can carry your activities without any hindrance.
