25-Aug-2023 (In Civil Law)
If amount recovered in attachment is negligible, how the balance can be recovered. Can the judgment debtor be jailed and for how long if amount can't be realised?

yes, JD can be jailed if he failed to pay the decreed amount, but in civil case he can be sent in jail upon an application to the civil judge and in criminal case the judge on being satisfied that the accused is deliberaely not making payment then the court can send him/her behind bar.

It depends upon the nature of the case. As far as your case is concerned, firstly I would have to go through your case file, so that I may advise you properly. But as far as your question is concerned that can the judgment debtor be jailed? Yes, he may send behind the bars through the Courts of law if he failed to satisfy the execution.
