Can government job be refused for conviction of cheating in PMV

Sir, one year ago I was convicted (500 rs fine) in cheating in academic exams of polytechnic college (PMV) . Can I get government job in refinery OR PSUS?

Prima facie the government cannot refuse to give job on such petty matter.
For higher officials/higher posts, standard has to be very high and even slightest false information or suppression may by itself render a person unsuitable for the post.
So please elaborate more about the issue to assist you further.

Dear client,
For top level govt positions it may be a conduct issue and lead to a disqualification. Depends on the position you are applying for.
I would advise you to disclose the fact beforehand so as to avoid future discharge and humiliation.
