Can a non partner be party to civil suit filed against partnership co.

Can a non partner be made a party in civil case. A company has filed civil case against partnership company its partner & 1 outsider who is not partner can it be challenged
I am require to know the details of the civil case,without details it is not possible for me to advice you in the matter.If honorable court has permitted the company then there are chances that he might be the responsible person in the cause
