In case if you lose the case you have to follow the hierarchy and you have to do your appeal at the concerned High Court …you cannot go directly to Supreme Court in any circumstances so please be in touch..thanks

Hi, An appeal against an order/decree of a District Judge will lie before the concerned High Court only. The appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court can be invoked by a certificate granted by the High Court concerned under Article 132(1), 133(1) or 134 of the Constitution in respect of any judgement, decree or final order of a High Court in both civil and criminal cases, involving substantial questions of law as to the interpretation of the Constitution. Appeals also lie to the Supreme Court in civil matters if the High Court concerned certifies : (a) that the case involves a substantial question of law of general importance, and (b) that, in the opinion of the High Court, the said question needs to be decided by the Supreme Court.

No. as per law you cannot directly approach Supreme Court. you have to go by law abd have to approach next higher court meand if case is in court of district judge Court then you can approach high court by way of appeal. Supreme Court has very limited power in civil appeal matters.

Technically speaking the sequence of the judiciary should go from district court to high court. If you loose in your district court then you can apply for your grievances in the high court of your area. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

If you have a suit pending in tamilnadu district court you will be moving in appeal in tamilnadu only and if you wish to move to Supreme Court in through an SLP then you would need to discuss your matter thoroughly because situation can determine whether you can approach Supreme Court or not?
