Can I adopt a child by approaching the court and bypassing CARA

03-Dec-2023 (In Child Custody Law)
My age is 53 and my wife is 48. We wish to adopt a child below 2 years of age. Under CARA rules it is not permitted.I am registered with them but they are only permitting us to adopt children over 6 years. If I locate parents willing to hand over a child below 2 years can I adopt by approaching a court and bypassing CARA.

Yes, if you locate parents who are willing to hand over their kid to you, then you can directly approach the Court under the Juvenile Justice Act. However, on account of the latest amendment in the said Act and its various interpretations, the outcome cannot be guaranteed.
