will cheques issued in 2006 be acceptable in bank or not?

MY FRIEND BORROWED RS. 1 LAKH. BUT HE IS RETURN TILL (12 YEARS). GAVE 2 SBI CHEQUE LEAVES FOR SURETY (2006TH YEAR). TILL NOW, I AM NOT PUT THE COLLECTION IN BANK. CAN I PUT THE COLLECTION NOW. IS IT ACCEPTABLE?
Your question is whether the cheque issued in 2006 is valid, the cheque must be MCIR cheque. If the Cheque is dated 2006 it will not be accepted now for collection in bank because any Cheque is valid only for 3 months from the date it is issued
