What can be done when cheque bounced and payee is dead

I have 2 cheque with my father name, I deposited that cheque on my father bank account but they got bounced. My father is now dead. So my question is can I send legal notice or what is the alternatives?

Yes you can file a case and also send a legal notice as you are a legal heir and legal representative. What is the amount of cheque and do you have the memo of insufficient funds from the bank. So once you have all this documents you can send a legal notice

You have to take cheques in your name.
Then you can send a legal demand notice to the opposite party and after 15 days of the receipt of the notice you can find cheque Bounce case against the opposite party in the concern Court

As per your query

In this situation if you are claim nomine of your fathers account you can claim first nomination of that account later on you can send legal notice if you are nomine of your father account.
