Person claiming to get money from dead father want our land instead

My father was dead on 11 feb 2017. after this incident some person came to me and told me that your father took cash from me in 2011 and gave me cheques and pro note( date mentioned or not on pro note I don't know) . so if you don't pay me money I will send you lawyer notice. actually my father closed that bank account on 16 aug 2016. actually we have two lands which is in power of atorny on my fathers name. still that lands registered too be yet. that person told I know your lands survery numbers so if you don't pay me we ll grab those lands through. now how can I resolve this issue?
you dont need to worry, first of all you need to check with the person that the claim made by him is correct or false, secondly the cheque which was given by your father in 2011 and after that As per RBI guidelines, with effect from April 1, 2012, the validity period of Cheques, Demand Drafts, Pay Orders and Banker's Cheques will be reduced from 6 months to 3 months, from the date of issue of the instrument. so the cheque has no value.
