NI 138 BEFORE DELHI. What Is The Pecuniary Jurisdiction

Can anyone tell me that does Court of MM admitted the case with pecuniary jurisdiction more than 1 crore in delhi

In criminal law, there is no pecuniary jurisdiction. The pecuniary jurisdiction vest with the civil court. if it is a cheque bounce case, the amount of cheque has nothing to do with the jurisdiction of the MM to try the case.

Yes MM has the power to take cognizance of the cheque dishonoured complaint under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 irrespective of the cheque amount. You may connect with better particulars

In Delhi if you are filing a case of cheque bounce that is 138 it will be filed in MM District Court for the Whatsoever the amount is it is a settled law that the check first will be filed with the MM of the concerned police station

All 138 case even if 100 crore will go to MM only in criminal law jurisdictions are no decided that way in law both 500 and 50 lac and 50 cr same so u cannot challenge on that ground the complaint case

Hello, yes MM can admit the cheque bounce case of 1 crore or above as it is a criminal case.
anyway the jurisdiction (pecuniary) for civil matter before district Court is till 2 crores.
