I am seeking legal advice regarding a debt situation. I borrowed approximately ₹10,00,000 and have paid around ₹9,00,000 in interest. However, I am currently unable to continue making payments and wish to negotiate a settlement. You go and file a police complaint regarding you loss of cheque before the police and get the NCR report, this is the first step you have to take and try to get the cheque back with the cops if possible or leave it at that and if the Holder of your cheque presents to bank , it will be bounced and he will issue legal notice and reply all of your stand and grievance according you will be in a better position to defend yourself
