Dear Client,
Particulars are insufficient. What is the case for which you send legal notice. If it is legal demand notice for repayment of dishonoured cheque amount you must first search for his address and then send the legal demand notice. It must be served on him otherwise case will become futile. You first serach, where he now resides and then get the cheque dishonoured again and send notice if the cheaque is in validity period.

If the address is the correct address were the respondent is residing then you can file complaint. You need to file complaint after 15 days from the date of return. The date of return would be from the date on which the post was supposed to be delivered to the respondent.
Within 30 days after the expiry of 15 days. In your case most likely it should be before12 may 2017.

Hello,

Find out the current address of the party and send the legal notice again through (registered post) and see that the notice is served this time. What is the use in filing case without demanding your dues out of court and see if the issue is resolved without resorting to litigation? However, despite sending another notice, the party does not receive the notice, then you can file the cheque bounce case immediately. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance or help.
