I have purchased a home from the builder. All registration processes and payments are cleared. but I had given a cheque of 2 Lakh additional which is not mentioned anywhere, but he didn't complete his work and he asked me for payment so I stopped the cheque payment. so can he file a case against me about the cheque bounce? and what should I do?
Yes he can definitely file a case against you for recovery of the amount. The way you can counter this case is by taking proper action against the builder for delay/deficiency in construction in contravention of the terms of the agreement.
