I got an old payment from a person in cheque And that person lives in West Bengal and now he doesn’t pick up my call and even blocked me on calls and WhatsApp now what should I do? His cheques bounced again I got three cheques from him now. What should I do? If if I file a case against him, then will I get my money back i have all the bounced cheque it. Cheque was bounced on 20 june 2026
Yes, you can take legal action. Since the cheques bounced few days back you should send a legal notice within 30 days. If the person still does not pay within 15 days after receiving the notice, you can file a cheque bounce case. If the case is decided in your favour, you can recover your money through the court.

If you have received cheque for discharging the legaly enforceable debt. If you have already bounces cheque then first send a legal Notice recovery of cheque amount. if failure to make payment then you can file a cheque bounce case

First of all rather than going legally you should serve him/her a legal notice and in that notice you can write that either pay my money or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he/she fails to give you a satisfactory reply then you can anytime file a complaint under section 138 NI Act in the court to claim your money back along with compensations.
