Company asking for non dated cheque as guarantee Can they do it

I am joining a firm and they are asking for two 50,000 cheques with no dates as guarantee that i will not leave the company before 1.5 year as bond period Is it safe to give such cheques with no date. The firm can even put me on court after 1.5 years also ??

It is not safe to handover a cheque without date. Kindly sign a proper bond agreement and avoid giving them such cheque. It can be misuse against you and you can be harassed in future by few criminal matters if the relation between you and the firm is not good.

It is too risky to issue undated cheques. These companies never return such cheques and will give all sorts of lame excuses in case you demand for returning the cheques, therefore there is every possibility of Company misusing the same in the event of strained relationships.
