Cheque bounce given by builder

Builder cancel the deal and ready to pay the amount which we pay at the time of booking (6 lakh). 50000 already gigen to us. He gave 2 cheque 225000 each out of that 1 chq got bounce with reason insufficient fund

Hi,
Send the builder legal notice under section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 withing 30 days of date of bank memo. Also file civil suit for recovery of money. For further advice kindly contact me. I can help you with the case.

You have to send a legal notice to the builder within the stipulated time by the law since the day of the bouncing of the cheque. Thereafter you may proceed to file a criminal complaint under IPC and/or under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. You may also file a civil suit. Much depends on the circumstances and facts of the case.
