Cheque bounce amount of 10 lakhs need to recover

I have given money to one of known member 15lakhs at different intervals between year 2011 to 2014, payments done through online he repaid around 6 lakhs and from 2015 he did not repaid and demanding of several times he gave a non CTS post dated cheque of 10 lakhs and promote now it's got bounced. Now how I should tackle this situation...please help me..one of my advocated advised not to show old transactions...
Hi... after cheque got bounced you have to send legal notice to that person by making demand of the money and you have to give him fifteen days time to him to answer the above notice and after that time you have one month time to file a case in court.
