Can a Sate/PSU/Central Govt employee can do agriculture

Can a government employee do agriculture ? please advise what are the measure need to take not to effect present employment.

agriculture is not considered a commercial activity provided the annual income from agricultural activities do not exceed Rs2,40,000 per annum.
however you will need to declare your land holding(whether owned or leased) to government under service rules and also declare in case you avail any subsidy or loan for your agricultural activities
