Hello, You are entitled to seek discharge from service before completion of terms of engagement as per policy of Army under compassionate grounds. You can write the application for discharge from service on a compassionate ground as you have specified in your query and forward through proper channel. You can not be punished on these grounds, you are entitled to seek justice in this regard. All the best

A red ink entry can not be given for asking for a discharge. Award of red ink is after due process of law.
Insofar as discharge id concerned, you can apply for a discharge before end of term of engagement only on extreme compassionate grounds. Your grounds of parental health is such ground provided you have none to look after parents.
If action is taken against you solely on the basis of your discharge application you may challenge it in Court.

Make a request citing extreme compassionate grounds saying in your application that your presence at your home is necessary. If your CO refuses for the same than take interview of higher authorities through proper channel. There is no effect of red ink entries in civil, as no where these entries are mentioned . At the time of your discharge u will be issued with discharge book in which your character is being mentioned based upon the provisions of Defence Service Regulations.
