Indian Air Force Pension related

27-Jun-2025 (In Armed Forces Tribunal Law)
I joined the Indian Air Force on 12 January 2004 and served with dedication for 8 years, 2 months, and 4 days. During my tenure, I sustained a service-related injury on 10 March 2011, while performing guard duty, which resulted in the amputation of my left-hand index finger. i had also cleared the AFCAT written exams but was not allowed to appear for SSB and disheartend i resigned. I should be bestowed with pension for my dedicated service.

An Air Force officer suffering a duty-related injury may be eligible for disability pension, but specific rules and assessments apply. The injury must be attributable to or aggravated by air force service, and the disability must be assessed at 20% or more by a medical board. The Armed Forces Tribunal plays a role in determining entitlement, particularly regarding whether the injury is service-related.
