Please make it clear as to when your husband served in the Armty. Please confirm if he left army on supperannuation or prematurely. These details are important to decide his eligibility for army pension.

You need to proceed to court/AFT for pension. From your query it is not possible to know the complete facts of the case and in this situation it is difficult to clarify and advise you correctly. You are suggested to provide the complete facts.
Thanks and regards

Respected madam
You may approach Armed Forces Tribunal for your Army pension
I am surprised why you did not do so all these years. If your husband had pensionable service from Army then you must get your family pension.
Since it is old matter you will be required to contact with all documents.
