How much hours one can perform duty in a week ?

In the Air Force how many hours one Airmen can do duty in a week ? Can he authorised to take weekly off? If duty hours is more than 72 hours in a week what can individual do in peace area?
Please tell any rule if any regarding that one.
IAF is following the working hour of 40 Hour in a week during peace time as per Air HQ letter No. Air HQ/20704/2/Policy/Org dated 29 Sep 2000. Maximum number of permitted working is 48 Hours as per policy Air HQ/20704/2/Policy/Org dated 29 Sep 2000 is annexed as Annexure-1
