Denied copy of answer sheet after the filing of RTI, how to proceed

16-Sep-2023 (In Armed Forces Tribunal Law)
legal question I had filed a RTI seeking information regarding my attempt of answer sheet for promotion exam and for a copy of answersheet. the copy of answersheet was denied and the reply by CPIO confirmed my suspicion that mark alloted to me is not mine. i decided to lodge a case and i filed another RTI to know the duration of destruction of answersheet. To this CPIO lied that the answersheet was already destroyed after one month of result announcement. Recently, Chief Information Commisioner Delhi confirmed that the answersheet is intact. Kindly tell me how to book him on his name and seek compensation for telling lie under RTI Act 2005. Can he be demoted/ service terminated? I will be highly obliged for a detailed reply. Regards.

Dear aspirant,

You can very well approach higher authorities by way of a written application seeking promotion, as even the answer sheet it self is not available with the Dept. If your "demand" is denied, you can sue for promotion as well as for adequate compensation. Since details about the promotion exam, designation, department etc are not available in your query, unable to furnish an intact reply right now.

Wishing you all the best,

With Regards,
