Can a consumer send the case file to forum by post or does he has to submit personally?

A case can be filed at the consumer forum by submitting personally or with an advocate with the case file and paying the nominal requisite court fees and basic stamp duty. While filing the case, please take care of the jurisdiction at which the case needs to be filed

Q: Can coaching centres be sued for taking study material from newspapers

Many coaching centres copy other coaching's study material. Why don't they get sued? And in the practice material of English for various competitive exams, newspaper articles are used. Why can't the newspaper sue them? (I don't think any coaching institute ask the newspapers for their permission as they work on 100s of articles from dozens of publications). More details: We're working to start a coaching institute for CLAT preparation. Some part of our study material may contain content from other coaching centres. Can they sue us, what can we do to avoid this? As you knows, CLAT has some "Reading comprehension" question where a passage is given and based on that soem questions are asked. Generally, the passage for reading comprehension is taken from Newspapers, journals, magazines, research papers etc. Is it a copyright infringement?

Yes, the coaching centres can definitely sue for copyright infringement. The solution is to approach the coaching centres whose material you may use and seek a paid license to use their copyrighted work.

Can Search Engine Algorithm be Patented in India or USA if it helps users perform better search than existing search engines

Hello,Algorithms are not patentable in India although you have copyrights in the algorithm.In the US, however, you can implicitly patent an algorithm. In fact, it doesn't even have to be in code and anyway when a patent is issued, it is NOT issued against source code, it's issued for "a series of steps performed" which of course is nothing more or less than an algorithm. Certainly working source code is not required, so the embodiment of the algorithm in code is not what's being patented. What's being patented is just the ethereal "idea" of something doing X then Y then Z in that order.Please feel free to contact for any further assistance

Q: Price bifurcation given on company letter head by builder

Recently I bought a property and registered the agreement in RERA. But on the agreement price breakup is not mentioned I.e. it includes parking, GST, club house. But builder gave me price bifrucation on company letterhead with company seal and authorized signature. Is this valid? If builder deny the above e facility can I file a suit for this?
