Q: I'm from Hiriyur tq Chi(d) I'm law student @jss law college, Mysore

I gave 27k for my classmate. He asked money for his business and promised me a share until he repays me money. Since his repayment is delayed, due to some issues our friendship was deteriorated. I have doubt that he used it for said purpose or not? How can I get it back. I have all UPI proofs and call recordings Through small causes court or ??Is it better approaching court in this issue?

First issue legal notice thru registered post., later you want file recovery case in civil court. another option: if you have call records and UPI payment Proof you can directly go to Local police station near by your area and seek police help to recover money.Police might say to file case either criminal or civil in court, but you can say it takes longer process, and consume more time, you require money urgently and friend has chances to abscond. so two ways are there for your problem choice us yours. good luck

Q: Cost of sending legal notice for mutual divorce in Bangalore

My wife lives in the USA on an H1B visa with our minor child. We have been living separately since November 2023. I have been trying to communicate regarding mutual divorce but she is not responding to messages or calls. I am considering sending a legal notice proposing mutual divorce before taking any further legal steps. Could you please advise what is the typical cost for drafting and sending such a legal notice from Bangalore? Also, is it advisable to send the notice to her US address and by email/WhatsApp for proof of delivery?

Sir,You can issue legal notice thru registered post. The postal receipt is evidence, for further process in legal case. along with you can also email/ watsapp the same notice. Cost of notice depends on advocate s charges.

After 6 months of marriage our families arranged a meeting to discuss the issues. You can file legal separation case or divorce case followed by alimony case against your spouse. in alimony case you can plead to get back your jewellery and money as well inclusive of alimony amount.

FEMA rules applies. If the money received is more than $ 5000 or $ 10000 onwards you have to get declaration of such income source.No exemption granted for lottery winnings offcourse it has to pass through income tax process if it exceeds the limits.

You contested the case, but if it is disposed off. means your case is closed. check the order sheet why the case is closed, disposed off for default etc. Order sheet of your case file gives proper meaning why the case is closed.
