Q: Landlord forcing to Vacate the house in 40 Days wants to take action

Our landlord currently was to vacate by September 1 because he wants to sell the house. He keeps threatening by screaming and telling that he will cut the water and electricity. Also says that if we don't vacate by September 1st he will file a police complaint to evict us right away. We have all the recording of him screaming at us. He is a retired army so his attitude is that way too. Any help.

Advocate Sanjeevrao answered
Your rental agreement period is completed or not, if not completed you have to give notice and file a suit before the concerned court not to evict you from the premises due process of law. And it is the duty of the landlord to provide basic needs and he can't remove water and electricity connection when you are in possession of the said premise and you have liberty to give police complaint against your owner to safe guard your interest.
