Q: Whether handwritten agreement on stamp paper valid or not?
Is it acceptable, if a handwritten agreement on Rs 500 stamp paper for taking a loan of Rs 30000 from a Govt Office ? My concern is that is it mendatory to type the words of agreement on stamp paper or simply handwritten will serve the purpose. I have handwritten the agreement on stamp paper.
Advocate Sakshi Chopra answered
The terms should be in writing. Whether the same is written in hand or typed does not matter. As long as the terms are clear, and understandable it should not be a problem. Please ensure in case there are any changes or alterations then the same are counter signed by both the parties.

Advocate Sakshi Chopra answered
If you are getting married here in India, and the marriage is going to be a registered marriage then the same can be registered under the Special Marriage Act. And in the event you are getting married outside and then want to get the same registered under Indian Laws, then it has to be under the Foreign Marriage Act.
