Advocate Raminder Kaur answered
I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing. Here are some steps you can consider to navigate this challenging period: - Attempt to have a calm and honest conversation with your husband about your concerns and the issues you are facing. Try to understand his perspective and express your own feelings and needs clearly.- Lean on your family and close friends for emotional and practical support. - Consult with a lawyer to understand your rights and options. They can provide guidance on matters such as child custody, maintenance, and legal separation or divorce, if it comes to that. - Keep a record of any incidents, communications, and threats. This documentation can be crucial if legal action becomes necessary. - If the situation doesn't improve, you may need to consider legal action to secure child custody and financial support for your child. A lawyer can guide you on how to proceed with this.- Remember, you have rights and there are laws in place to protect you and your child. Seek the necessary support and take action as needed. If you need further assistance or specific contacts, feel free to ask.

Q: regarding eligibility for getting govt job

I was convicted in public drinking case(offence u/s 68(1)B of the P. P. Act and Section 510 Indian Penal Code, 1860) and released on probation on furnishing probation bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of like amount each. (Convicts aredirected to maintain good behaviour and peace for a period of sixmonths from today and to come and receive sentence, if so calledduring this period.)I want to ask whether I am eligible for government exams and get a job or not. Please help me.

Advocate Raminder Kaur answered
Your eligibility for government exams and jobs after being convicted under Section 68(1)(B) of the Punjab Police Act and Section 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) depends on several factors & considerations: -Government jobs often have specific rules about offenses involving moral turpitude. Minor offenses, such as those involving public drinking, are generally not considered to involve moral turpitude. - Completing your probation period successfully shows rehabilitation, which is viewed positively. - Most government job applications require disclosure of any convictions. Honesty is crucial, and failing to disclose can result in disqualification or termination if discovered later. - Ensure that you comply with all conditions of your probation and maintain good behavior. - Get a copy of the court order showing the completion of your probation period and that no further action was required against you. - Carefully review the eligibility criteria for the specific government exams or jobs you are interested in. Look for any mention of disqualification due to minor offenses or probation.- Generally, minor offenses like public drinking, especially if resolved with probation and good behavior, are less likely to disqualify you from government exams or jobs.- After completing probation, you may also request a police clearance certificate showing no pending charges or convictions. While minor offenses can complicate the process, they do not necessarily bar you from government employment, particularly if you demonstrate rehabilitation and transparency.
