Q: UDR / Patta name change issue . DRO not giving final decision
My land is in my name and EC also shows same but patta name is someone else, the person in patta name is not in any of the chain of documents. Applied to RDO office for rectification. They transfered it to DRO before 2-3 yrs after 6 investigation also no judgement given in my petition. What to do?

Since the patta cancellation proceedings are pending before the DRO for more than three years without any final order, the remedy is to first give a written representation seeking early disposal. If no action is taken, we can file a Writ Petition before the Hon’ble High Court seeking a direction to the DRO to dispose of the matter within a stipulated time and also seek protection of possession till then.
