Q: Notice shortfall, salary deduction and F&F dispute
I resigned on 21 Aug after joining on 6 Feb 2026. Contract required 30 days’ notice after probation. I stated 31 Aug as LWD, which my manager confirmed in writing on 26 Aug. I completed handover and exited on 31 Aug. Employer now claims 20-day shortfall and offers ₹6,000 F&F after adjustments. Please advise if this is legal, whether my manager’s confirmation matters, whether salary for 21–31 Aug can be excluded, and whether I should accept or dispute first.
