You can approach consumer forum for deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act. Further you can also claim damages for the same if you prove that you are a consumer and there was deficiency of service by the opposite party.



Q: Filing a case under negotiable instrument act as legal notice returned

one of my clients cheque dt.25/09/2017 amounting to Rs.59120 got bounced, thereby I gave a notice through my lawyer on dt. 23/11/2017, but was unclaimed and returned back. Can I still file a case under negotiable instrument act.

You have to file the case within 30 days from the date of receiving the returned notice. However you can file the case even now and convince the court as to why there is a delay.. Further you can file a civil suit for recovery of the said amount



Q: Client harassing after finalising the deal for selling property

Hi, I was gifted a property by my parents, due to financial constraints i planned to sell away the property,accordingly a client turned up, deal was finalized and as per the deal he made advance for the property later he started harassing me to get duly signed by my brother,but before the deal he did not say all these,all my papers are genuine. Now i am fighting case in Bangalore civil court,what is the solution for this.Please help me in this regard,i have hearing on Jan 5th 2018
