Q: Cheque Bounce due to non sufficient fund

I have paid 1 lakh to during June 2019 one person in Begusarai who was running Consultancy services to secure me admission in B.Tech lateral Entry. The person assured me to have the enrollment done for the session 2019-2020 or he will return my money. for guarantee he gave me cheque for 1 lakh Rupees. however he didn't got me admitted to the college and and is not returning my money. I have deposited the cheque to the bank and it was bounced and returned to me citing the reason- insufficient balance. I have sent legal notice through lawyer to the party to return my money but he didn't respond to the legal notice. Please advise what should i do further to recover my money
