Q: Married to hindu boy I am muslim will it affect property ownership

Hello, I am a Muslim, I had bought some property on my name and that is on loan right now and will be on loan for 20 years. I am getting married to a hindu boy and my in laws want to change my name. I am worried if it might create problems in my property ownership later when I pay the complete loan and the bank transfers the property completely on my name.

Advocate M Minhaj answered
Hi,your property can not be transferred to others but it may affect with your children because it depends upon your performance of marriage by personal religion or special marriage etc.If your marriage solominsed by special marriage, your distribution of property to children will govern with special marriage laws vice versa.
