Q: Late submission of fitness certificate
I am working as lecturer in haryana education department. I met an accident on 21 june( Sunday) Doctor asked me for bed rest upto 28 june...29 was a holiday. I rejoined my duties on 30 june. At that time office not asked me for fitness certificate. Later they asked me for this on 8 july. I want to same doctor . He given me fitness certificate by mentioning that i came for f.c on 8 july .and I found medically fit. I submitted in office with medical leave performa . Can late submission be problem?

remember some points,Do not obtain a backdated certificate. The doctor's certificate mentioning 8 July as the date of examination is actually safer. It accurately records when the doctor examined. Do not ask the doctor to falsely state that doctor examined you on 30 June.Submit a written representation immediately, if not already done. Take the fitness certificate on record;acceptance of the medical leave application;regularisation/sanction of the medical leave;recording that you resumed duty on 30 June;no adverse action regarding the delayed production of the certificate.Attach supporting documents. Original accident/treatment record; doctor's prescription/advice for bed rest from 21–28 June; medical certificate for leave; fitness certificate dated 8 July; medical leave application/form; proof of joining on 30 June; attendance record from 30 June onward, if available; any communication showing that the office demanded the fitness certificate only on 8 July.
