I am seeking urgent legal advice regarding my NIC Scientist-B Recruitment 2026 case. My interview/document verification is only about 15 days away. I have never changed my name. My FY 2025-26 OBC-NCL certificate mentions my name only as “Yash”, while my subsequent corrected OBC-NCL certificate dated 21/04/2026 mentions my full name “Yash Rathore”.My concern is that NIC may reject my OBC-NCL reservation benefit because the FY 2025-26 certificate does not contain my surname. I want to know the quickest and legally strongest way to establish that “Yash” and “Yash Rathore” are the same person, considering the very limited time available.What documents or legal steps would you recommend in this situation? Would a notarised affidavit or other declaration/documentary evidence be sufficient? Should I immediately submit a legal representation to NIC/MeitY, or is there any other urgent remedy I should pursue before the interview?

First submit an urgent representation to NIC/MeitY with the corrected OBC-NCL certificate, identity documents and a notarised affidavit establishing that “Yash” and “Yash Rathore” are the same person. If NIC refuses or threatens rejection, promptly approach the jurisdictional High Court under Article 226 seeking appropriate directions before document verification.

Q: Bank is aking for revised PPO from Department

in my husband Office my name is mentioned as Renu (without Surname) as per service record. After my husband got expired in Sept 2025 I shared his Death Certificate with Bank (Bank shares it with Deptt). Deptt issued PPO in June 2026 (after 9 months) stating only my first name. Bank A/c is a joint account of my husband and myself which has first name & surname. From past 2 months bank is pressuring me to get revised PPO from husband Deptt containing surname also. Pls advise the solution.

Since the PPO has already been issued in your name as “Renu”, submit a written representation to the concerned Department/PAO enclosing your Aadhaar/PAN, marriage proof, death certificate and joint bank account showing your full name, requesting correction/clarification of the PPO. Ask the bank to process the family pension meanwhile or give its objection in writing. The pension sanctioning authority/PAO is competent to issue the necessary correction/revised authority; the bank cannot itself amend the PPO.

I accidentally made a transaction to the wrong account using the Navi app. I reached out to the Navi Help 08809-161-059 & Support team and shared the transaction ID and payment details. If you have already approached Navi, ask your bank to initiate a wrong-credit reversal request with the beneficiary bank. Keep the UTR/transaction ID and complaint reference safely. If the beneficiary refuses to return the amount, you may consider appropriate legal action for recovery.

yes, you may send legal notice to the college and university and then file a recovery suit (recommended) against the college and the university should also be made party to the suit to recover your money, and you should avoid filing a consumer case.
